Today, 4th Ramadhan, Saturday.
Weeks before was filled with activities. Left me with some Sundays to complete house chores. Well, children’s needs are on-going.
This week, in fact the days are ore amazing. As Ramadhan is the month we are waiting in every year, I look forward for things to be better.
In life as well as business, decision making is not an event. It os rather a process and each day decisions need to be made.
There are business decisions which need to be made based on previous experience and data. And many business decision made for new ideas need to be validated.
Recently, I am working with a group if young entrepreneurs with great ideas of business. I learnt that they develop their ideas freely.
They accept ideas without commenting, criticizing and analyzing. They listed every ideas. Then, they use a helpful tools to validate the idea. Everyone is discussing and focus on ideas without commenting on the person.
It was such an amazing experience when no one is being hurt emotionally. Good ideas are enhance and others are just as happy.
Those who proposed the accepted ideas are not reliable for the execution, but rather the tasks are taken on voluntary basis on each members expertise.
The plan is discussed as it will take time, the model of which they use to start a business idea called, ‘lean’.
What is lean?
“Lean Startup” is a largely theoretical methodology for developing businesses and products first proposed in 2011 by Eric Ries. Based on his previous experience working in several US startups, Ries claims that startups can shorten their product development cycles by adopting a combination of business-hypothesis-driven experimentation, iterative product releases, and what he calls “validated learning“.

With this group of young entrepreneurs, I started to learn about ‘lean’.
More lean ideas to explore.
