Day 1 : 6 November 2013 : 6.30 am – 2.30pm
China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair (CCBF), Journal for Day 1
We arrived safely at the Pudong International Airport Shanghai as scheduled at 6.30am. It was a long journey for me.
I hardly get to sleep which I normally had when travelling.
After we had been brief about the day schedule at the airport, everyone, 33 all of us board on a bus.
It took us about 50 minutes to arrive to the first visit location set by the tourist guide.
We were brought to Jinmao Tower, 88 Observation Deck.
Well, the view is pretty amazing.
The lift is fast and moves 9m/sec.
Could you imagine how fast that could be?
There are some photos which I managed to take using my old yet still working well blackberry. 🙂
The view of Shanghai from top is great.
It seems like Shanghai is a city full of tall and high building which connected to each other.
And indeed, it is!
Then, we took the opportunity and took a walk in group.
The view is even amazing!
We had to walk quite a distance after that as we have to wait for the bus at another location.
Later, we have been informed that our earlier bus had punctured tyre, that made us to wait for another replacement bus to come.
Since the weather is also kind to all of us, we are still happy walking that far as we appreciate the view of Shanghai better as we walk in group.
Since everyone was pretty hungry, we decided to had lunch before going to the next venue to visit.
We went for lunch in one of the most known muslim restaurant along Guang Xi Road.
It was clearly written in Arabic. 🙂
Later, we were brought to learn how silk is made at TianHouSilk.

Hurray! I managed not to buy anything … Â so far.
🙂
Then, around 2.30pm we arrived to check in at Galaxy Hotel Shanghai.

Happy!
Here at the hotel, WIFI is available. But, email and blog post is easy to connect rather than FB and others.
This is the only photo of me for today.

Well, I need to be ready for the setting up work at Shanghai Mart by 4pm.
Will update again later.
