It has become compulsory for each educational institution to celebrate their students on a yearly basis. It calls by different name by many, but ‘graduation’ or ‘convocation’ brings a simple meaning to all children and parents in preschool environment.
November and December in each year has become a month of events and teachers of kindergartens are all busy.
Well, what exactly does it mean to have a graduation day in a preschool or kindergarten alike?
There are amy reasons, of course. However, academically and socially it does leave an impact in our children’s progress through some of the processes:
+ Children experience teamwork for a specific project within a specific time.
+ Children are exposed to scheduled practice (training) on a specific skills.
+ Children are given opportunity to experience being on stage, be in front of a group of people, whom they don’t know.
+ Children experience trust and building confidence with related individuals involved including friends and teachers.
+ Children will be able to explore more opportunity of talents and new skills.
Therefore, preparing for such an event requires more than just a teamwork among teachers. It involves skills, talents and pool of resources.

+ Understanding children’s need and ability at all level
+ Basic skill to choreograph each performance
+ Time management
+ Ability to handle more than one task at a time
Graduation or even any type of events will definitely a tradition with style. Each year every school will always choose a theme or a specific message to be shared with families through the children’s performance during their graduation day.
Be it a social issue, latest trend in education industry or even an evergreen theme, each event will normally focusing on one content that they wanted to deliver.
It involves the teachers, children and family.
