It is tempting for any of us to be at the best place, situation, status or anything else, which is better than now. It is true that we should always be better from time to time. That means, we are always improving and work on better things.
However, in the event that someone offered to be in the future state which is better, compared to now, would you choose to be there instead?
You may have different opinion but I will choose, now. The moment that we are now in is the truth that we are embracing. The future is something that you can plan. In the current moment, we have the chance to plan and take action. That is what matters.
I believe that this moment, which is now, is where you can build your future. If you are given a better future now, it may not be the best for you. It may be easier and faster, but it may not reflect the true aspiration that you want to carry on.
Take an example in life. We may find there is an opportunity to live in a bigger house in the new development area of our neighbourhood. I believe that you will not simply leave all your current commitment, just to get that new house for you.
Definitely you would like to ensure what you have now is taken care of, as you are very much enjoying the moment. May it be you alone or with your family, spouse and extended family if any. In the first place, leaving your current home, to have a bigger house which seems as a better future, may not be something that you really want.
Working on and progressing in what you believe is much greater in any achievement of your life. Experiencing the path and enjoying the journey while learning from each moment, will be the factors that makes you who you are today.
If you are not happy with what you are now, it is the result of the past. Therefore, what you are doing now, will give the result of what you will be in the future. Regardless of how your future like, it will truly reflect on what you do now.
Let’s appreciate, be grateful and optimize the moment of ‘now’ as it will definitely build the future. Your future is not only about tomorrow or the next day. But it may takes your next week, next month, next year, next decade…next life.
Challenge someone you know to live the moment at his fullest and take the same challenge for yourself, to make the future be better, together.
