Everyone has his own definition of success. One may find that success in business means to generate certain revenues with certain profits as they target reaching out certain KPI in sales and marketing. One may find his recognized achievement and awards are the sign of their success.
Most of successful people may be popular and known by many. That leads to the connotation that being known and popular makes the sign of you being successful. Again, what is the definition of success that you believe in?

When it comes to relationships and deals, you can always be good with others and give full respect to the people around you. But at the same time, be brave to choose who you want to make any deals with and who do you don’t need to. Saying no may makes you less popular in certain groups of people. But, you are very clear on what you do, as it is what best for your company.
Being less popular does not equal to less successful. In making deals and negotiation processes, you may need to push it hard. You may sound ridiculous for some people. You look obsessed on getting what you want. All these may not be appealing to many. However, those who understand that you work on what you believe, they acknowledged you for working towards success.
Having the understanding that success is not a popularity contest you are able to dominate yourself, your thinking, your expertise and your brand.
